Hello

My name is Emily Larsen

I am an Occupational Therapist, and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist with eight years of experience working in a variety of settings with a variety of unique individuals. I created Heart and Home Therapy as an avenue to serve others with compassion and love, using my talents and gifts to help them achieve their fullest potential. My goal is to build a team of qualified clinicians who work together to serve home-bound residents of Mesa County. My purpose is to connect the talent and resources with those in need of care, and to fill the growing gap that exists between care providers and care recipients in our community. My dream is that no one in need of therapy would go un-served, and my wish is to meet those needs by delivering quality therapy services to all. By connecting a team of Physical and Occupational therapy clinicians who are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of our community; I aim to provide hope and healing to our home-bound neighbors so they may live their best life for their whole life, using their strengths and abilities to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Life is a blessing, and a home is a sanctuary to behold that blessing. I hope to help our clients function safely and independently in their own homes for as long as they desire. I am dedicated to my work and my gift, and I am inspired and honored by each of my clients for their resilience in times of challenge and change.

About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Our family moved from the southeast coast of Texas to the western slope of Colorado in December of 2022. My husband, Kurt, and I want to give our energetic and adventurous son, Nikolas, the best opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that will nurture his wild and free spirit. We are happy to have landed in Mesa County, where we are exploring and enjoying the abundance and variety of fun and adventure through every season.

When I began my work here in Mesa County's home health setting, I immediately noticed the desperate need for Physical and Occupational therapy services in our community. I became inspired to serve my new neighbors by finding a way to fill the gap between patient and provider so our local and rural residents receive the care they need.

My husband supported my inspiration to find and connect the talent and resources with the existing service delivery agencies, and together we created Heart and Home Therapy.

We are excited to begin this journey to connect with the local talent pool of quality Physical and Occupational Therapy clinicians in the hope that they will share in our inspiration and join our team. We are committed to our goal to build a team of dedicated Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals who, by sharing in this work together, can meet the need of residents requiring home-based therapy services in our community.

Our Mission

At Heart and Home Therapy, our mission is to provide quality Physical and Occupational Therapy services to home-bound residents of Mesa County in order to improve the health and wellness of our community and contribute to the quality of life of our neighbors.
